2022 Manufacturer's Day and Prospectus & Achievement
SCEDF hosted 7th grade students from Knox, North Judson-San Pierre, Oregon-Davis and Culver Community Schools for our annual Manufacturer's Day on October 6, 2022. Several of our local industries participated and shared information about available jobs and the necessary skills to fill those positions.
SCEDF also hosted the annual Prospectus & Achievement Luncheon for industry leaders, elected officials, board members, and other community advocates. Linda Walczak from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation was the keynote speaker. Hoosier Custom Plastics was recognized as the Industry of the Year. The event was catered by Maggie Lu's Market in North Judson.
Starke Tank 2022
A total of 10 small businesses competed for prize money to establish, grown or expand a small business as part of the 2022 Starke Tank Countywide Small Business Pitch Competition. Irelynd Alexis Boutique won the grand prize of $12,000, and Bone Boss Game Calls won the runner-up prize of $6,000.
