U.S. Labor Force Grows in July Leaving National Unemployment Rate at 3.7% for July

The Bureau of Labor Statistics issued its July unemployment report today finding that the national unemployment rate remains unchanged at 3.7%.  Another 164,000 jobs were added during the month, including a higher than expected 16,000 manufacturing jobs, which was the most additions in that segment since January of 2019.  The size of the labor force also grew by 370,000 persons during the month.
