Rosy Jobs Report Equals Unemployment Rate Decline for April on National Level

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics announced today that the national unemployment rate fell from 3.8% in March to 3.6% in April.  An additional 263,000 jobs were created during the month, far surpassing the expected increase of 190,000 that had been forecast by analysts.

Ron Gifford has worked for the Foundation as Special Projects Coordinator since 2008 after a law career of 32 years. In addition to his duties for the Foundation, Mr. Gifford serves as Director of the Starke County Initiative for Lifelong Learning (SCILL) and as a Business Advisor for the Indiana Small Business Development Center, serving businesses and entrepreneurs in both Starke and Pulaski Counties.
